Ron Livingston et Lil Taylor ont rejoint Vera Farmiga et Patrick Wilson pour le casting du nouveau James Wan (Insidious), le thriller d'horreur "The Conjuring", annoncé en juin dernier, un film qui se situe dans les années 1970 et se base sur le livre "House of Darkness, House of Light : The True Story" d'Andrea Perron, un roman "autobiographique", les Perron ayant vécu à cette époque dans une maison de Rhode Island prétendue être un portail pour les esprits bienveillants et maléfiques. Livingston et Taylor interpréteront un couple vivant dans la demeure, Farmiga et Wilson étant les enquêteurs du surnaturel, Lorraine et Ed Warrren. Chad et Carey Hayes (La maison de cire, Les Châtiments, Whiteout) ont écrit le script de ce projet initialement envisagé par la firme Summit Entertainment en 2009 et étant à présent au sein de la New Line.

Auréolé du succès d'"Insidious", James Wan pourrait diriger pour la New Line "The Conjuring", basé sur une histoire vraie, celle de la famille Perron prétendant avoir vécu avec les esprits dans leur ferme de Rhode Island. L'action se passe durant les seventies, Peter Safran et Tony DeRosa-Grund produisant le film en collaboration avec New Line. |
